For people with disabilities, accessibility is essential. It allows us to participate fully in the world, just like everyone else. We want to be part of our community, to live, work, and hang out with friends.
For those who are more pragmatic, accessibility is also good for business. My colleagues at SCE Lifeworks reminded me that globally, people with disabilities, along with their families and supporters, have a combined buying power of 13 billion dollars. Yes, that’s billion with a ‘B’! Every business wants a share of that.
